Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Aird lab to conduct impactful biomedical research and make biological discoveries for the betterment of human health.  To accomplish this, we will perform robust, reproducible experiments in the lab, carefully analyze all data, and disseminate our results widely through presentations and publications.  We are also committed to the training and career development of all scientists in our lab through creating a vibrant and collaborative scientific environment that emphasizes critical thinking skills, creativity, and passion for what we do. Finally, Dr. Aird is committed to promoting diversity in STEM and is specifically passionate about the recruitment, mentoring, and retainment of women in academic research.
