Richard is originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia, but came to the University of Pittsburgh for college where he is currently a freshman studying biology and sociology with minors in computer science and chemistry. He has always been passionate about science, and plans to either pursue a career in medicine or research.
Outside of his classes and the lab, Richard volunteers at UPMC Presbyterian hospital, serves as a peer reviewer for the Pittsburgh Undergraduate Review, and is a member of Pitt's Student Government Board. Richard is also an avid tennis player and hiker, and enjoys watching football (Fly, Eagles Fly!). He also loves going to the gym and trying new restaurants with friends.
