Born and raised in Alaska, Jeff originally traveled to Pittsburgh for his undergraduate Microbiology degree at Pitt. He then finished a Master’s degree at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Medical Microbiology and Immunology. Jeff was a tech for 5 years at the NIH in NIAID, working on primary immunodeficiencies. Jeff returned to Pittsburgh and after a brief stint in industry, Jeff is now in our lab as a senior research tech. His research interests include: genetics, immunology, cancer and immunotherapy, infectious disease, and parasitology. In his free time he enjoys reading, swimming or running, watching movies, and spending time with his wife, daughter, and their dog.
